Hard Country: Home

Murphy, Texas based Hard Country began its journey in the summer of 2004 by founding members Bryan and John Joyner.  Influenced early in life by Country, Rock and Blues, the Joyner brothers became inspired to play their own brand of Country music by Texas Country and Red Dirt artists they were following at the time. From humble beginnings, the band has evolved into the current line-up of Bryan Joyner (lead vocals, guitar), Greg Deans (vocals, guitar), Bo Hulsey (bass) and John Joyner (drums).

Their original music is rock tinged country music influenced by artists such as Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Reckless Kelly, Jack Ingram, Randy Rogers Band, Charlie Robison, Pat Green, Cory Morrow, George Strait and Dwight Yoakum as well as various rock influences.  The members of Hard Country pull from their various influences and styles to form a perfect blend of music with a rock pulse and Texas country soul.
